The fourth largest of the Finger Lakes, Canandaigua Lake serves as a popular vacation home destination due to its proximity to the city of Rochester. It is also home to the town of Canandaigua and beautiful Sonnenberg Gardens.
The longest of the Finger Lakes, Cayuga Lake is home to many renowned wineries. The city of Ithaca, home to Cornell University and Ithaca College, sits at its southern end.
The Keuka Lake region is home to the ultimate in wine history. It was here in 1860 that the first bonded winery was established. It was also here that the first Vinifera vines were planted, sparking a renaissance in winemaking.
The largest and deepest of the Finger Lakes, Seneca Lake sports the largest selection of wineries in the region. Watkins Glen, home of the Watkins Glen International Race Track, resides on its southern shore, while the city of Geneva adorns the northern lakefront.
